The Whistleblower is a fresh and exciting rock band from Helsinki. The core of the band's sound is American-style light rock, influenced by heartland rock, blues, soul, R&B, folk rock and Americana.
The band, which consists of experienced musicians from Helsinki, has managed to convince its listeners and grow its fan base both in Finland and abroad. The songs created by the band's singer/songwriter Anthony Dawoud contain life-like stories of growth, love, irony, hope and a little bit of politics. However, the works came to life and reached their peak only when the whole band took up the songs in the spring of 2023.
Tuukka Hanhiniemi, Ville Vainio, Ben Ferreira and Joona Korpi, who have been influential in various bands in the Helsinki metropolitan area for years, formed the band's rhythm section, as a result of which the singer/songwriter-style songs were shaped to work more dynamically when played by th…
